Francis (Frank) McKenzie Appleton- Frank McKenzie, age 76, passed away on June 1, 2018. He was born on May 9, 1942 in South Carolina. He married Elizabeth (Liz Bayer) in 1966.
Frank was a Navy vet, Neenah Eagles Aerie past president, coached youth soccer for PVYSC and Taft Elementary, played league softball, golf, bowling, cribbage, and cards, past member of the Neenah Community Band (tuba) and Neenah Harbor Commission, and an avid Wisconsin sports fan. Frank enjoyed sporting events, festivals, fairs, and heavy metal concerts. He took civic responsibility and involvement seriously. He worked at James River on Marathon and Walmart by the mall.
The McKenzie Family would like to thank the staff of Theda Clark floor 5 and their hospice staff, the VA of Appleton, Heartland Hospice, and Manor Care. Cremation is through Heart of the Valley Cremation Services.
A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at the Labor Temple in Neenah after 2 p.m. Frank had the gift of gab and never met a stranger. He will be remembered my many.
