June Gladys Bricko

June Gladys Bricko, age 90, of Wausau, Wisconsin, passed away on January 29, 2018 following a battle with bone cancer.
June was born in Elderon, Wisconsin on July 7, 1927. June was married to Stephen C. Jachowicz on June 29, 1946. They were married for 32 years before Steve’s passing. June was married to Gilbert Steinagel on July 25, 1987. They were married for 20 years before Gilbert’s passing.
June worked numerous factory jobs, purchased and operated a tavern near Pike Lake from 1978 to 1981, and then again worked a variety of jobs into her 70s. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting, bingo, polka music, dancing, and socializing.
June is survived by her two children, three grandchildren, two brothers, two sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews.
June is preceded in death by her husband Stephen C. Jachowicz, husband Gilbert Steinagel, son Thomas E. Jachowicz, sisters Florence, Josephine, Anna Mae, and Audrey and her brother Lee.
Memorial visitation will be held at St. Florian’s Catholic Church, 500 Church Ln, Hatley, WI, Saturday February 16, 2018 from 11:00 AM to 12 Noon. Funeral liturgy at 12 Noon. June will be laid to rest at St. Florian Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to a charity of your choice in June’s name are appreciated. June’s family wishes to thank the wonderful caregivers at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton, the Bridges Nursing Home of Appleton, Cherry Meadows Hospice of Appleton, and ThedaCare at Home Hospice of Appleton.
