Neenah - Marlys G. Giebel, age 84, passed away peacefully at home on July 20, 2021.
She was born on July 12, 1937, the daughter of Elmer and Selma (Qualley) Jorgenson. Marlys married Roy Giebel, the love of her life, on September 29, 1956.
Marlys was preceded in death by her husband and parents

Marlys is survived by 3 children: Keith (Sue Lacy) Giebel, of MO, Shelly Eckstein, of Kissimmee, FL, and Kevin (Teri) Giebel, Neenah, WI; 3 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; a brother: Dennis Jorgenson, of Umatilla, FL; a lifelong friend, Shirley (Lowell) Hamrick, and Chris Tyriver, who has been like a daughter to her; and many other relatives and friends.
At the request of Marlys, there will not be a formal service.
A memorial cookout in her memory will be held from Noon to 5pm on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at O’Hauser Park - South, 1987 O’Leary Road, Neenah.
Marlys’ family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at ThedaCare at Home Hospice for their attention and care.
