Sandra “Sandi” Alix, age 72, of Appleton, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 14, 2019. Sandra was the oldest of Donald and Margaret (Steffens) Baer. On April 2, 1965, she married the love of her life, Darrel “Butch” Alix, and together they raised five children. Sandra enjoyed spending time with family, reading, and playing cards.
Sandra is survived by her children: Doreen (Larry Verkuilen) Alix-Verkuilen, Darlene (Glen) Livermore, Dean Alix, Duane (Maly) Alix, Dave (Arann) Alix; six grandchildren: Casey Klepps, Kaley Klepps, Destiny Livermore, Alicia Alix, Brielle Alix, and Kori Alix; and eleven great-grandchildren. Sandra is further survived by one brother: Tom (Karen) Baer and a sister: Sharon Mee.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life and best friend, her husband, Darrel “Butch” Alix, and her parents.
As Sandra wished, a Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2019 from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Cimarron Bar & Grill in Menasha.
