Barbara J. Knippel

Barbara J. Knippel (Phillips), age 78 of Appleton, WI passed away peacefully at St Elizabeth Hospital on August 23, 2024. She was born on December 7, 1945 in Marinette, WI to Jesse and Marie (Hendricks) Phillips of Peshtigo, WI. She graduated from Kimberly High School in 1964. On February 13, 1971, she married Robert Knippel.

Barb was a true animal lover. She and Bob, over their years, had many beloved pets: cats, dogs, goats, and even a horse during their retirement in Montana.

She is survived by her brother, Howard (Beth) Phillips; her stepson, Rob Knippel; many nieces and nephews; and special family, Keith and Susan Ganther and their daughters.

Barb was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Bob in 2011.

Barb will be laid to rest at Appleton Highland Memorial Park at a private service per her wishes.
