Barbara Jean Mielke

Appleton – Barbara Jean Mielke, 87, passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Appleton, WI. She was born on September 15, 1938, in Chicago, IL. Barbara was united in marriage to Leroy Mielke on November 14, 1959, and they enjoyed over 30 years of marriage together. Barbara will be remembered for her happy and loving nature, caring deeply for her friends and family.

Barbara is survived by her daughter Kathleen Peterson and son Daniel (Tracey) Mielke, her grandchildren Cody Mielke, Ian Peterson, and Lindsey Peterson. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents George and Kathyrn Young, her son Ronald, and husband Leroy.

Barbara was a member of the South Appleton Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. She was baptized on February 17, 1979. She had a very strong faith, deeply loved spending time with her congregation, and cherished sharing that faith with others. The promises she learned from the Bible brought her great comfort and joy.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00pm, Friday, February 20, 2026, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 2909 N. Roemer Road, Appleton, WI, 54911. Zoom Meeting details are below:
