Bonnie Lynn Blahnik, 62, of Neenah, Wisconsin, passed away angeliclly, surrounded by her dearest family at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah, on Easter Sunday, April 5th, 2026 at 4:13pm.
Bonnie was brought to life by Elizabeth "Betty" Kojis and Charles C. "Charlie" Mathison on July 31st 1963 in West Allis, Wisconsin. Her fondest memories were from her childhood. She was always and forever surrounded by love. Her siblings, Debbie, Mary Jane, and Chuck, have endless stories of fun times with Bonnie. She was known for her charisma. Everywhere she went there was laughter and love.
She went on to become an LPN and spent 36 years dedicated to helping absolutely everyone she could. ThedaCare was not just where she took her final breath, but where she blossomed her career; starting in the Orthopedics department then finding her niche on the fifth floor.
Bonnie met Joseph Blahnik in high school and after some failed love stories they finally got around to dating. Their marriage would span across almost 33 years and withstand the best of 2 children. Elizabeth Blahnik, 23, and Thomas Blahnik, 22. They were raised in Neenah, Wi and with so much love and the support of many, raising her kids was her lifetime achievement. She was beyond proud of them and didn't go one day without mentioning how happy she was to be surrounded with such love.
Happiness was also brought to her by her fur children. Oscar, Muffin, and Barney were the first cats Bonnie and Joe adopted together, later on to be followed by Miley, the family dog they got as a puppy in 2011 and has been patiently waiting on Bonnie's return home since 2024. Charlie is her love in fur form in the most recent times. He was her baby after all of her babies. They went on endless car rides and adventures, never left each other's side for more than a few hours at a time, for both of their sakes.
Bonnie is survived by her husband, Joe, children, Elizabeth and Thomas, her sisters, Debra(Tom) and Mary Jane(Dan), her favorite brother, Charles J., and her nieces and nephews, Emily(Alex) and Sarah(Quentin), Lauren(Nick), Amanda(Adam), and Olivia(Greg), Charles D.(Harper), Michael, and Matthew. Aswell as her sister in-law, Julie, and her nephew Ethan, and nieces Jenny and Josie. And of course, her favorite boys, her great nephews, Liam and Owen as well as great nieces: Daphne, Savannah, Gwenyth, Ingrid, and Vivienne and great nephews: Soren and Greyson. And Elizabeths lifetime partner, Royal, who became one of her bestest of friends.
In the face of adversity Bonnie picked everything up and kept moving. It was simply who she was and absolutely nothing stopped her. Life may have not been the easiest, but she always found positivity in everything and anything and would ensure those she loved did the same. May her strength become yours now as we all live in her honor.
Service for Bonnie will be held on Saturday, April 18th, at St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church in Neenah; 900 Geiger St, Neenah, WI 54956.
