Charlie Max Smith 

Appleton- Charlie Max Smith 69 passed away peacefully on Tuesday March 28th, 2023 at St. Elizabeth Hospital with family and dear friends by his side. 

Charlie was born August 16th, 1953 in Henderson, Texas. The son of Franklin and Bernice Smith. Charlie was a graduate of Henderson Texas High school. He was a Navy veteran. Charlie enjoyed spending time with family and friends and fishing. Charlie was a great story teller with a contagious laugh. He was loved by many. 

Charlie is survived by his children: Kristi Rose of Monroe, Wisconsin (Daughter),Dustin Smith of Monroe Wisconsin (Son); Grandchildren; Sierra Richards of Monticello, Wisconsin, Noah Rose of Monroe, Wisconsin, Mason Rose of Monroe,Wisconsin. Sisters Sharlotte Wallace of Henderson, Texas. Darlene Grant of McFarland, Wisconsin. Brother Arnold Wayne of Hallsville, Texas. Special friends Greg and Arlene Martin of Sun City West, Arizona. Best friend Chris Putnam of the Philippines. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. 

In addition to his parents Charlie was preceded in death by his brothers Billy Joe, Franklin Donald Smith, and Jerry Smith. 

A small celebration of life will be done at a later date at his VA Village as well as a Navy Burial at Sea. 

His family would like to thank St Elizabeth staff for taking such good care of him as well as all his dear friends and neighbors that have become his family.
