It is with profound sadness that the family of Dawn Hayes announces her passing. Dawn passed away on February 10th at the age of 63, surrounded by the people she loved most.
Dawn was a devoted wife to John Hayes and a proud, loving mother to Courtney and Leigh Hayes. Her family was the center of her world, and she gave her heart fully and unconditionally to those she loved. In addition to her husband and daughters, Dawn leaves behind many cherished relatives and dear friends who will miss her deeply. She will be remembered for her kindness, her strength, and the warmth she brought into every room.
Dawn made lasting memories in the everyday moments she spent with her family. She cherished sunset drives to get ice cream with her husband and dogs. She spent countless hours in her garden and passed on that love to her youngest daughter. Together, their garden grew larger each year, bringing her great joy to share vegetables and flowers with family and friends. She also shared her creativity with her eldest daughter, bonding over sewing, crochet, and painting projects that filled their home with handmade treasures.
Among her final words to her family, Dawn said, “Moo. Baa. Tweet.” It was a special phrase she shared with her daughters and their way of saying, “Good night. I love you. See you in the morning.” It was a simple expression of the deep love and closeness they shared, and perfectly captured Dawn’s playful spirit and tender heart.
A celebration of Dawn’s life will be planned for a later date, when the flowers begin to bloom, honoring the beauty and joy she brought into the world.
Moo. Baa. Tweet.
