Dawn Ann Spangenberg, age 76, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends on March 13, 2024 after a 20 year battle with breast cancer. She was born on December 30, 1947, in Peshtigo, WI to Julius and Alvera Spangenberg. She graduated from Peshtigo High School in 1967.

Dawn worked as a dental hygienist in Green Bay. Later she earned a degree in Interior Design. As a result, she ran her own interior design company and was invited to participate in some Parade of Homes events. She also taught courses at Fox Valley Technical College in Appleton. In addition, she was also a Feng Shui practitioner and a Reiki practitioner. Dawn was involved in the Service League in Green Bay in her earlier years. She also loved to play tennis and was very good at it.

Dawn is survived by her beloved daughter, Jan Harper (David) Peterson, her niece, Rena Liljestrand who was like a daughter to her, sister Linda Schneider, sister Diane (Larry) Liljestrand, brother Richard (Pamela) Spangenberg, sister Rose (Dave) Andre, brother Jeff (Laurie) Spangenberg, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother-in-law Mike Schneider, and nephew Matthew Spangenberg.

The family would like to thank the Moments Hospice Team, especially Jen, Kim, Erika, and Rachel, for their loving and attentive care. She was able to stay at home thanks to the care and love of her daughters and dear friends, Dianne Bautch, Mary K Knox, Connie Swift, Connie Kanitz, and Heather Hofecker.

Services will be held at the Henry Drees Community Center, 600 Pine Street, Peshtigo, WI on Saturday, March 23—visitation will be held from 1:00 – 2:15, with a service from 2:30 – 3:15 followed by a second visitation from 3:15 – 5:00.
