Obituary

Deborah Ann Button, a cherished mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, peacefully departed this world on April 6, 2026, at the age of 71, in the comfort of her home. Born on May 6, 1954, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Debbie was the beloved daughter of Clifford and Myrtle (Hales) Aird.

Debbie was born into a loving family with her siblings in Toronto before moving to the United States at the age of 3. Her Dad Clifford traveled for work. This led the family to reside in Illinois and Florida before finally settling in Wisconsin. Debbie graduated from Sun Prairie High School in 1973. Her life was a testament to resilience and compassion, a journey marked by the warm relationships she nurtured and the joyful memories she created with those she loved.

In 1979, Debbie married Dennis Conforti in Illinois, and together they welcomed their daughter, Shannon Conforti, into the world. Later, she shared a beautiful life with David Button, whom she married on October 1, 1989. Their union blessed them with three wonderful children: Jessica, Jacob, and the late David Button.

Debbie was predeceased by her parents, Clifford and Myrtle Aird, her brother Kevin Aird, sister Janet Tarneja, her son David Button, and her grandson Joseph Button. Her legacy continues through her surviving family: her daughters, Shannon (Andrew) Kriegel of Oshkosh and Jessica (Christopher) Brasch of Little Chute; her son Jacob (Ashley) Button of Brillion; her brother Brian Aird; her sister Diane Metko; and her seven grandchildren. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and friends who felt her warmth and kindness.

Throughout the 1980s, 90s, and early 2000s, Debbie dedicated herself as a stay-at-home mom, embodying selflessness and love. When life presented challenges, she embraced them with determination, embarking on a career in hospitality, where her caring nature shone brightly. Her commitment to others was further evidenced by her long-standing involvement with the Salvation Army, where she found joy in service and community.

Debbie's passions were as diverse as they were heartfelt. She loved the serenity of camping at Pigeon Creek Campground, the challenge of puzzles, and the art of crocheting and knitting. Her curiosity about the world extended to observing volcanic and seismic activity, reflecting her love for nature's wonders. At home, she found solace in computer games, cooking, and music. Her kitchen was often filled with the comforting aromas of her famous lasagna, fish and chips, stuffed peppers, and butter tarts. Holidays and birthdays were celebrated with great enthusiasm, filled with love, laughter, and the sound of her favorite Elvis Presley vinyls.

Debbie's warm spirit and infectious smile had a way of making everyone feel special. Her conversations were lively, her presence comforting, and her determination inspiring. To her family, she was a guiding light.

In accordance with her wishes, a private celebration of life will be held to honor Debbie's memory in the Summer. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to the memorial fund "Help Us Say Goodbye to Our Beloved Mom, Debbie" via Go Fund Me.

Debbie Ann Button will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for her unwavering love, her generous spirit, and the beautiful legacy she leaves behind. Her light will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew her.
