Eraic Donald Prater

Eraic Donald Prater died July 15, 2025 as a result of lung cancer. A disease he fought to the very end. Never called it quits.

Born February 2, 1962 (or February 1) in St Louis Missouri. He was a wild spirit with a warm heart. He lived a life of many “adventures” as he called them. He loved being outside and watching nature. He lived in many places and spent the last months of his life with his sister and family in Wisconsin.

He had lots of friends and “associates” over the years. Dana Rudy was his “Ride or Die.”

He is preceded in death by his Father Eraic Prater, his mother Shirley (Prater) Baylor, his brothers Ron Taylor, Rick and James (Jimbo) Prater and his sister Jane Honaker. Adventures were had throughout his life with all his siblings.

His special loves Lita and Bella also preceded him in death. They will greet him in heaven with happy tails.

He is survived by his sister Sandy Berkers or Sissy as he called her and her family. Further survivors are his nephew Michael Hamel, son of his brother Ron; Jane’s daughters Misty, April, Arielle and Arica and all their children. He truly enjoyed spending time with his family.

In accordance with his wishes there will be no memorial service.
