Eric David Zangl, 38, of Fond du Lac, passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2026, surrounded by his family and loved ones.

He was born in Oshkosh, WI, on December 14, 1987, to the late Kenneth and Susan Zangl.

Eric attended school in Fond du Lac and Oakfield, WI. As a child, he created lasting memories while deer hunting with his dad and brothers. His love for anything with a fast engine fostered an enthusiasm for drag racing, and he enjoyed taking trips to the Wisconsin International Raceway. He further loved all things to do with motorcycles, dirt bikes, and ATVs. Always one to root for the underdog, Eric was a lifelong fan of the Washington football team, from the Redskins era to the Commanders. Eric was a loyal friend and cherished family member whose laughter and stories will be remembered by all who knew him.

Eric was a loving father and is survived by his son, Roman Zangl. He is also survived by his loving partner, Samantha Pritzkow, and siblings Tanya (Eric) Asmus, Christopher (Kabrina) Zangl, Nicole Clark, Amanda Zangl, and Kenneth (Sarah) Zangl. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews.

Eric was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

A Celebration of Life event will be announced at a later date, where loved ones will gather to share memories, laughter, and heartfelt tributes to a beloved father, brother, and friend.
