Geoffrey David Schwartz, 50, of Oshkosh, WI, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 25th, 2026 after a courageous 10-year battle with cancer.

Geoffrey was born to Dr. Stephen and Dr. Nancy Schwartz on December 29, 1975 in Chicago, IL. He had fond memories as a child and young adult of road trips around the U.S., as well as international travels with his mom and sister, Lauren.

He earned his undergraduate degree in International Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in 2002. He married the love of his life, Heather, in August of 2007. He earned his Master's degree in Art History with a focus on architectural studies from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2011.

Geoff had many passions and wore several hats. He was a barista and a color specialist for interior design with Sherwin Williams. But his favorite profession was being a dad. He loved and cherished his daughters, Ella and Margaret. Geoff was also an artist. He first explored drawing as a teenager by enrolling in adult-level courses from neighborhood art studios in Chicago and then at the Art Institute of Chicago. His first format was urban and graffiti art, then wooden sculptures, and more recently painting. He particularly enjoyed drawing butterflies and flowers and incorporating gold leaf into his creations.

At church, Geoff served by using his barista skills and artistic talents to bless those around him. Geoff will be remembered as a quiet, humble man, who was always willing to help anyone he met.

Geoff was preceded in death by his Father, father-in-law Willard Herman, aunt Barbara, uncle Tony, and grandparents. Geoff is survived by his wife, daughters, mother, and sister. As well as two aunts, Eleanor and Karen, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held at Calvary SonRise Church in Oshkosh, WI on February 14th, 2026 at 10:00AM. The Funeral will be at 11:00AM with a lunch to follow.
