Gregory A. Gartner

Greg was born in Chillicothe, Ohio, June 28,1955, to Kenneth B. and Dorothy Jeanne (Hood) Gartner. The family moved here to Wisconsin from Chillicothe, Ohio when he was 6. His father transferred to Gilbert paper company from Mead paper company. 

Greg Passed away at his home in Appleton, Wisconsin on June 14, 2024. 

Greg was a Navy veteran and had a passion for animals, driving Semi (as he was a long, long time employee of Hartwig Transit delivering mail for the USPS). He had an unbelievable passion for always helping someone else; he’d give the shirt off his back for anyone!

He is survived by his daughter Jayda Ann Heintz; siblings: Debra Sue (Gartner) van der Häagen-Dazs (spouse, Jacques), Marcia Ann (Gartner) Anderson (spouse, Dennis); as well nieces Kendra and Jacob, and nephew Juddon, and their families; other family: Amanda Korn and son Brently Close friends: Samantha Shaw (spouse Brett Shaw) , Denise Freiberg, Duane Hartwig, Jeremy Rymer, Donald Heintz, Stan Piszczor and many other friends. Special thank you to Samantha Labs and Tanya Cihlar for helping take care of Greg.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lynn his parents, Ken and Jeanne and his dog Rosco.
