Gregory "Weasl" L. Wieseler, age 72 of Dale, WI passed away on June 18, 2025. Greg was born to Jeanne Rae and George Parker Wieseler on September 3, 1952 in New London, Wisconsin.

Greg passed away after being diagnosed this Squamous Cell Carcinoma in early March. We knew it was going to be a tough battle but true to his determined nature, he faced it with courage and unwavering commitment. Despite his strength and determination, the cancer and its treatment proved too great and this battle was one he did not win. He worked hard, he played hard and fiercely loved his friends and family.

Survivors include his sisters, Wendie (Jeff) Clark of Mettawa, IL, Ginger Wieseler of Nichols, WI, Georgia (Mark) Anderson of Las Cruces, NM, and brother, Guy (Sue) Wieseler of Neenah, WI. He also leaves behind his nephews, Tony (Brittany) Herrmann of Winneconne, WI, Bud Clark of Lake Bluff, IL, and Justin Wieseler of Appleton, WI, and nieces, Shannon Wieseler of Appleton, WI, Kathy Sloane of Spring Branch, TX, and Michelle Sloane of Milwaukee, WI; his great-nieces, Molly (Sam and Henry) Fex and Quincy Clark, and his great-nephew Jack Clark, who Greg fondly referred to as his adopted great-grandson.

In addition to his family, Greg had many friends that he cherished. He was the kind of man everyone loved and knew they could count on, always will to do anything for those he cared about. Among his closest longtime friends was the Ellenbecker family, Joy and Harold, Tammy, Larry were like family to him. The Countryview Dairy Farm was his workplace and his home for nearly 30 years. He deeply cherished Ma Ellenbecker, ofen saying she could take any food, cook it in the most dented pots he had ever seen and make the most delicious meal ever. A big thank you to Troy Shutnick for being like a brother to Greg, your love ad support over these pas months meant more than words can express. Greg’s good friend Chris Koga, was someone he worked for at H2O Underpressure, both full and part time since 2000. He always spoke highly of Chris and enjoyed his time spent together especially admiring his truck collection.

Greg was a member of Post 55 the American Legion of Hortonville. He was an avid woodworker, and you could find him in his shop building something, fixing equipment, gardening, always “puttering around” as he called it.

On Friday, July 11 we will gather to celebrate his life at the Dale Town Hall, W9641 State Rd 96, Dale, WI 54931. Join us from 2 pm to 5 pm, the Legion Post 55 will do honors at 5 pm.
