Harold Raymond Epp, 90, peacefully passed away on April 24, 2022, with his loving wife nearby, after complications from his long battle with dementia.

Harold was born on August 18, 1931, to Abraham and Sarah on the family homestead near the small town of Henderson, Nebraska.

After Harold graduated from Henderson Community School in 1949, Harold pursued a degree first at Grace College of the Bible and then at Mankato State where he was majoring in mathematics towards a teaching degree but was drafted by the military before completing that degree.  After this, he went home for a while to farm.  Later after starting at Deere and Company he continued his education receiving a bachelor’s degree with honors at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln.

Harold worked in the agricultural industry for John Deere and then later Patz Company for almost 40 years. Harold was passionate about Agriculture and Farming and loved what he did for a living. Harold had a very good ear and voice for music, and sang in numerous quartets, while in college and in later adult years.

In 1951, he met Shirley Freisen at Grace College of the Bible.  They married on July 3rd, 1953.  Harold & Shirley went on to adopt 2 children, Michael and John.

Harold retired in 1996. While retired, Harold spent time with his wife, pursuing their joint hobby of Antiquing. He enjoyed Classical Music as well as listening to his favorite Christian Pastors.  He also was passionate about Politics and enjoyed lively debate.  Outgoing and always interested in striking up a conversation with someone new.

Harold was predeceased by his parents Abraham and Sarah Epp, his brother Jim Epp, his sister-in-law Doris Epp and his brother-in-law Robert Frey. He is survived by His wife Shirley Epp, Brother Marvin Epp, Sister Lillian Frey and Sister-in-Law Sharon Epp, and his 2 sons Michael Epp and John Epp. No services will be held.  Instead of gifts or flowers, donations can be given in Harold’s name to Friends of Israel Gospel Ministry, INC.   https://foi.org/
