James "Jim" Guyes, age 77, passed away on October 2,2023, in Appleton, WI. He was born on June 6, 1946, in Green Bay, WI, to Leon and Mary Guyes. Jim is survived by his sisters, Bonnie Guyes and Barb Guyes, and his brother, Jack Guyes. He is also survived by his children Todd Guyes (Lorie), Tanya Guyes (Chris Borski), and Nickie Guyes, as well as his grandchildren Caitlyn Thyssen, Tyler Thyssen, Alexandria Guyes, Jaidan Buss, and great-grandchildren Greyson Guyes, Jeremiah Hoefler-Guyes, and Kaiser Theil. Jim was proceeded in death by his parents Mary and Leon Guyes,wife, Carol Guyes, and sister-in-law, Debbie Donajkoski.

Jim was a beloved individual, known for his outgoing personality and love for football. He found joy in watching the sport while enjoying a few drinks. Jim's dedication to his family was evident through his role as a loving husband to Carol. Additionally, he was an active member of the YMCA, where he achieved an impressive milestone of swimming 1000 miles.

Professionally, Jim worked at the Golden Venture Home for 23 years as the head maintenance personnel. His commitment to his work and attention to detail left a lasting impact on his colleagues and the facility.

Outside of work, Jim had a variety of hobbies that brought him happiness. He enjoyed swimming, playing racquetball, and, of course, watching football while unwinding with a drink in hand.

A celebration of Jim's life will be held on October 6, 2023 from 3-6 pm at 3407 Tulip Trail in Appleton. Friends, family, and loved ones are invited to attend and pay their respects to a remarkable individual who will be deeply missed.
