Obituary

Jo Anne Pulido, age 88, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, October 17, 2026, following a lengthy and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity and devotion to the people and causes she held dear.

Jo was born on June 1,1938, in Manawa Wisconsin, to the late Ted and Vi (Radies) Steinbach. A proud graduate of Clintonville High School, she graduated with honors in 1956 and went on to build a career in office services. She devoted 35 years of heartfelt service and dedication to Rawhide Boys Ranch before retiring. Her commitment to helping others reflected a quality that defined her throughout her life: a generous heart and a genuine desire to make a difference.

Jo married the love of her life, Angelo Pulido, in 1982 and they resided in the New London area ever since. She enjoyed flower gardening, birdwatching, interior decorating, and spending time with family and friends. She very much loved helping those in want or need with her generous time and talents.

Jo is survived by her husband Angelo, five daughters, Julie (Derwin) Fronczak, Rhonda (Larry) St Marie, Loni White, Laurie Bellile, and Chelley (Mike) Lee. She is further survived by her sister, Mary Beth (Tom) Kemen and stepchildren Andy (Patty) Pulido, Vickie Voecks, and Paula (Emerson) Whitfield. Jo and Angelo’s family was blessed with 26 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.

Jo was preceded in death by her son, Brad Scheibe, and stepson, Rick Pulido.

No immediate service will be held. A public celebration of life will follow in Spring 2027. Details will be shared when available.

Jo’s family extends their heartfelt gratitude that goes beyond words to her caregiver, Michelle, for the loving, gentle care and extraordinary compassion she provided over the past seven months. The kindness, tenderness, and dignity with which she cared for Jo brought comfort to Jo and her family during a deeply difficult time. Her family will always be grateful for the love she gave.

The family also wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Jo’s ThedaCare hospice team and the first responders who attended to her in her final days. Their dedicated service, reassuring presence, and thoughtful attention helped ease a difficult passage and provided meaningful support to Jo and those who loved her.

Jo’s life was a testament to the quiet, lasting power of generosity. Though she will be deeply missed, her spirit lives on in the many lives she touched, the family she cherished, the flowers she tended, and the small wonders of nature she so enjoyed.

When you see a chickadee, please remember Jo and smile.
