Joan M. Schink, 78, passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2019, at Prairie Home Assisted Living. She was born on December 17, 1940, in Appleton, the daughter of Joseph Frank and Elizabeth Theresa (Kroenke) Schink. Joan was a nurse for St. Elizabeth Hospital for 40 years. She loved to travel to many wonderful places, including: the Grand Canyon, Hawaii, California, and Florida. Joan enjoyed collecting dolls, and loved animals; especially Scotty dogs, and cats. She also loved to garden.
Joan is survived by a brother: Joseph “Butch” Schink; 2 nephews: Mike Schink, Menasha; and Mark Schink, Appleton; 3 nieces: Lisa Ruffing, Kaukauna; Kelly Schink, Appleton; and Kerry Berry, De Pere; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Joan was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers: Edward and Jerry Schink; and a nephew: Scott Schink.
Per Joan’s wishes, no services will be held. She will be laid to rest in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.
