John Bishop

John Otho Bishop born 8-27-1949 died 9-11-2023

John Bishop passed away on Monday September 11, 2023 in Appleton Wisconsin. He was born in Laramie, Wyoming August 27th1949 to parents John and Betty Bishop. He is survived by his wife Susan, his daughter Stacy (Paul) Bullock and his son John (Erin) Bishop. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren – Alex (Dan) Craig, Jackson Eastman, Peyton Eastman, Christian Eastman, Payton Newhouse and Magnolia Bishop as well as 1 great-granddaughter Rylee Craig. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Mark.

John lived his early years in small Wyoming towns. He worked on local farms and loved playing baseball. He attended college at Chadron State College in Nebraska where he earned a degree in Earth Science and became a uranium geologist. He then ranched in Glendo, Wyoming. He eventually became a business owner in Wheatland, Wyoming. He moved to Wisconsin in 2001 and became a part time realtor and full-time grandfather. He pursued a career as a half decent golfer and professional conversationalist and political opinionate. John lived his life for his family. He was a loyal friend and an animal lover.

There will be a celebration of John’s life at Wander Springs Golf Course in Greenleaf Wisconsin on September 22nd from 5:30 pm to 7:30pm. In lieu of gifts please consider a donation to your local animal shelter.
