Judith (Judy) M. Engel, 72, was called to Heaven on Friday, November 27, 2020.
Judy was born at the Engel farm in Forest Junction in 1948. She graduated from Appleton West High School in 1966. She enjoyed taking care of others in her life and her work at several nursing homes and in her home for the furbabies that she rescued; Buttons, Pepe, Lucy, Max and Gizmo. She made many friends throughout her life and stayed in touch over the years. She stayed connected through phone calls, Facebook and the cards she made for birthdays and holidays.
Judy was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church in Combined Locks. She had a big heart and shared what she had with others that she felt needed it more than she did. She never had children of her own, but her nieces and nephews were very special to her.
Judy was proceeded in death by her parents, Amos and Laverne (Dreier) Engel, her brother, Gerald Engel and two nephews, Phillip and Bradley Engel. She is survived by her brother, Merlin (Rose) Engel, sister, Diane (David) Mier and many nieces, nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews.
Special thanks to the staff at St. Elizabeth Hospital that cared for Judy in her final days.
At Judy’s request, no funeral service will be held. A Celebration of her Life is tentatively planned for July 2021. To be notified for the celebration, please send your contact information to: JEngelCoL@gmail.com
