Kathryn "Katy" Blundon

Kathryn “Katy” M. Blundon (nee: Lyon) of Redgranite, WI passed away on Friday, September 5, 2025 surrounded by her loving family at the age of 76. Born on July 1, 1949 in Milwaukee, WI, She was a devoted wife to Martin “Marty” and a loving mother to Dawn and Kim.

On June 19, 1972, she married Marty and they built a life together in Cudahy raising two daughters. After 27 years, she retired from the Cudahy Fire Department in Cudahy, Wisconsin on July 27, 2012. In her retirement, she enjoyed camping, rummage sales, and a good book.

She is survived by her children, Dawn (Phillip) Bontempo and Kim (Todd) Blundon-Eichman; grandchildren, Izabella (Ben) Gierszewski, Francesca (fiancé Jacob Velie) Bontempo, Alexis Blundon, and Jaiden Blundon; as well as other relatives and many friends who will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by Marty, her husband of 53 years.

The family invites you to a joint Celebration of Life to remember Katy along with Marty starting at 11:30 AM on Sunday, November 2 at the VFW Wells-Krause Post 2925, 420 N. Wisconsin St., Berlin, WI. Buffet lunch to be served.
