Kenneth “Ken” W. Hoffmann, age 79, of Menasha, Wisconsin, passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2026, following a courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease.
Ken was born September 16, 1946, to the late Walter and Estelle (Havemann) Hoffmann. He proudly served his country in Vietnam as a Chaplain’s Assistant with the 11th Armored Cavalry.
After returning home, Ken began working at Miller Brewing Company, where he met the love of his life, Judith “Judy” Maier. They were married on October 26, 1974, and shared 51 years together. They later moved to Tomahawk, Wisconsin, where they owned and operated Twin Bay Pizza & Resort for several years.
Ken and Judy adopted their two children, Amy Hoffmann and Kevin Hoffmann, and throughout their lives, their home and hearts remained open to many of their children’s friends, whom they welcomed as family.
Ken’s faith was an important part of his life. He served as a lay minister and enjoyed traveling to area campgrounds during the summer months to share sermons and fellowship with others.
Ken found joy in life’s simple pleasures—especially his annual trips to the strawberry patch, where he picked far more strawberries than Judy knew what to do with. There were also always vanilla wafers and peanut M&Ms close at hand.
Ken had a lifelong love of baseball and especially enjoyed watching and cheering on the Milwaukee Brewers with Judy, sharing in the excitement of the game and the memories they made together.
Ken is survived by his wife, Judy; daughter, Amy Hoffmann; son, Kevin (Lacey) Hoffmann; bonus son, David Swaney (Lisa Salm); sister-in-law, Patricia Maier; grandchildren Tia, Chloe, Kirian, Jorryn, Gianna, Logan, and Natalie; and his great-grandchildren.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to the staff at ThedaCare Peabody Manor for the compassionate care and support they provided to Ken and his family over the past several years.
A celebration of Ken’s life will be held at a later date.
