Kevin French, age 62, passed away surrounded by his family on Friday, June 19, 2015. He was born in Marquette, MI on March 09, 1953 to the late Mark and Florence (Gaffney) French. He attended Marquette Senior High School and graduated with honors from Northern Michigan University with a bachelor's of science degree. Kevin met the love of his life, Robin (Maddox) French in 1987 and blended their families and lives together.
He worked for Timber Products for 13 years in Munising, MI before moving his family to Wisconsin. It was there where he worked at Point Beach Nuclear Power Plant as an INC technician until retirement. His hobbies included darts, playing pool, grilling, canoeing, and above all spending time with his children and grandchildren. Kevin was known for his sense of humor and quick wit. He always had a smart comment or joke to tell, and he was famous for his one liners.
Kevin is survived by his wife Robin French; children: Machaon "Mac" (Nikki) French, Sonette French, Bud Cook, Barbara Cook, and Amy (Phil) Cook; siblings: Duane (Connie) French, Kim French, and Marquita (Jim) Wright; sister-in-law Joann French, 9 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Martin French; and infant son Joshua James French.
In honor and remembrance of Kevin, a canoe trip down the Autrain River will be held later this summer.
