Kurt M. Mueller, age 70, of Appleton, Wisconsin, passed away at home on January 14.

Kurt was born on August 31, 1955, in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, and was raised by Henry and Lucille Mueller.

Throughout his life, Kurt held many work-related roles. He spent time Up North with the Boulder Junction DNR, where he was involved in environmental upkeep and research—work that reflected his appreciation for the outdoors. He also worked at Appleton Wire Works and later with ThedaCare at The Heritage and Peabody Manor before retiring.

In his free time, Kurt enjoyed the simple pleasures that brought him comfort and joy. He loved fishing, a good crossword puzzle, and playing cribbage. A loyal Wisconsin sports fan, he closely followed the Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Brewers. He also found great enjoyment in watching the wildlife in the pond from his back balcony.

Kurt was preceded in death by his father, Henry Mueller; his mother, Lucille Mueller; and his adopted sister, Karen Mueller.

He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Elly Mueller; his daughter, Abby Mueller; his stepdaughter, Amy Ecklor; and his stepson, Paul Ecklor.

The family wishes to have a private service for Kurt. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
