Appleton, WI – Laurie E. Cascarano, age 85, passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 10, 2024, at her residence in Appleton, WI. She was born on August 14, 1938, in Lake Forest, IL, the daughter of Simon and Signe Gustafson (née Westerlund). Laurie married her high school sweetheart Andrew Charles Cascarano on August 27, 1960. Laurann was a loving wife, mother and friend, and she treasured her role as “Mormor” to her four grandchildren. She will always be remembered for her beautiful smile and elegance, along with her passion for golf, cooking and entertaining. Laurie and Andy made their home in Lake Bluff, IL. Where they raised their two children. After a few years as a stay-at-home mom, she went to work as an administrative assistant in the guidance department at Lake Forest High School.

Upon retiring from Lake Forest High School, she and her husband retired as snowbirds. Dividing their time between Watersmeet, MI and Bonita Springs, FL. What a life! A Lake home with a million dollar view in the summer and a golfing community during the winter. A well-earned retirement.

Viramontes, Samantha Cascarano and Eva Cascarano; brother: Charles (Margaret) Gustafson; and many nephews and nieces.
