Lawrence Richard Jopke, known to family and friends as “Larry,” passed away peacefully on August 23, 2025, in Neenah, Wisconsin, at the age of 79.
Larry was born in Milwaukee, and made his home in St. Francis, Wisconsin, where he built a life focused on family, hard work, and enjoyment of life’s simple pleasures. He worked for many years with the U.S. Postal Service, and his dedication and reliability were hallmarks of his career.
Family was always at the heart of Larry’s life. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. Larry enjoyed going out to restaurants, sharing good meals and conversation, and he and his beloved wife Judy especially looked forward to attending Summerfest and State Fair in Milwaukee each year together.
Larry is survived by his children, Peter Jopke and Lisa Hurley; and his grandchildren, Jordan Jopke, Jessica Jopke, Gavin Jopke, Ella Jopke, Ethan Hurley, and Henry Hurley. He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Jopke; and his son, Michael Jopke.
In accordance with Larry’s wishes, no funeral service will be held. His family will remember him with love and gratitude, carrying forward the joy he brought to their lives.
