Lori Frances Schroepfer

October 7, 1951 — May 2, 2025

Born to Eternal Life on May 2, 2025, Lorraine Frances Schroepfer (Keller) happily left her earthly burdens and joined the Lord. Born on October 7, 1951 in Appleton, WI, the first daughter to Elmer and Vilma (McGowan) Keller, Lori became ‘big sister’ to 10 more siblings. Whether she liked it or not, Lori helped mom take care of the family. Lori married Dean Schroepfer on October 25, 1975 at St. Patrick’s Church in Lebanon, next to the family farm. Lori and Dean shared nearly 50 years together. They had one daughter, Niccole Gussert, and 3 beloved granddaughters, Brianna, Karleigh, and Lauren. Lori had many friends, and she especially loved to see her classmates for lunch once a month, especially Patti Ames. Losing a kidney to cancer in 1980 started Lori’s long journey of determination to keep ‘sucking air’ as she put it. She always attended family gatherings, even when she felt less than OK. Lori especially loved a good joke. As the family historian, you could ask Lori who was ‘so and so’ and she could recall and tell you their story and ‘who they belonged to’.

Lori leaves behind her husband Dean, daughter Niccole and granddaughters Karleigh and Lauren. Other survivors include her siblings: Mary Friebel, Richard Keller, Joseph Keller, Michael Keller, Jeanne Frazier, Patti Stirn, Jackie Beyer and Sheri Keller. In Law’s William “Lee” and Phyllis Schroepfer.

Rejoicing to greet Lori in Heaven are her parents, Elmer and Vilma Keller, siblings Elmer Keller, Elizabeth Kent, and especially her beloved granddaughter Brianna Gussert, and Dean’s family members Keith and Donna Zdanoviee. She is also missed by many loved pets.

Lori will be remembered for her determination to live in spite of the disease she fought. Her gracious ability to overlook others’ faults will be her lasting impression. She deserves all of the peace and joy she attains in Heaven.
