Marcia Ann Walkowski

Marcia Ann Walkowski, 61 passed away September 19, 2025, from a short battle with cancer. Born 4 4 64, 4th child (that’s how she would always say it) in Appleton to Nancy Ann (Van Handel) Walkowski and Daniel Rochon. She was raised by her beloved stepfather James Ronald Walkowski and Nancy. Marcia graduated from Appleton West in 1982. She lived most of her adult years in Minneapolis, MN (she loved that big city) before moving back to Appleton a few years ago.

Marcia was always smiling and laughing no matter what life threw at her. Everyone who met her loved her and she soon became part of their family. She definitely was the life of the party. Remember her in your dreams and keep her close to your heart. Smoke a dubby or cigarette and drink a Rolling Rock in her honor.

Her sister Kachina wrote,

Be free, be strong, be proud of who you have been, know that you will be mourned and missed, that no one can replace you, that you have loved and are beloved.

Move beyond form, flowing like water, feeding on sunlight and moonlight, radiant as the stars in the night sky.

Pass the gates, enter the dark without fear, returning to the womb of life to steep in the cauldron of rebirth.

Rest, heal, grow young again.

Marcia is survived by her brothers Rick Walkowski (Erin Eisch), Todd Walkowski (Marlene), James (Jay) Walkowski (Anne) and Eric Okrand (Satomi). Her sisters Tracy Walkowski, Kachina St John, Rochelle Gaspard Rochon (Danae) and many nieces and nephews.

A very special thank you to Roxy, Robin and all the staff and residents at Province Terrace Villas Long ct LLC for the care of Marcia these past 5 years and especially the last weeks of her life. You treated her like family and she loved you all.

A celebration of life will take place on her birthday, April 4, 2026 in Appleton and maybe one in Minneapolis MN, at some date. Details to come on her Facebook page.
