Mary J. Amundson

Mary J. Amundson (Nee Mitchell) passed away peacefully Thursday, November 17, 2016 at 83 years of age. Beloved wife of the late Robert Amundson Sr. Mother of sons Robert (Ellen), William (Debra), Howard and daughters Linda (Donald) Perron and Lori Opsahl.
She leaves a brother, William (Diane) of Lewiston, ID and a close sister-in-law Doris Mitchell of Brownsville, MN. And fifteen grandchildren, twenty four great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her husband Robert, parents Herman and Annette (Lee) brothers Howard and Robert, sisters Kathleen, Joann and Leann, grandchildren Angela and Michael (Perron).
Mary was born and raised in La Cross, WI and lived in many places, Holmen, WI Oshkosh, WI Kingsford, MI Rockford, IL and Appleton, WI. Throughout her life she enjoyed music, crossword puzzles, bowling, bridge, cribbage, shooting pool and Packer weekends.
A celebration of life will be held in her remembrance, Saturday, December 3, 2016 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at the American Legion in Iron Mountain, MI.
