Patrick John McCarthy passed away on July 14, 2026, in Appleton, WI, after a battle with leukemia.

Pat leaves behind a legacy of love and charm. Raised in a close-knit family, he cherished his family throughout his life. As a devoted father and unwavering supporter, Pat was always there for his loved ones, offering a helping hand whenever needed. His constant presence was a comforting and supportive force for everyone around him.

In 1991, Pat and his wife Marylee moved to Crystal Falls, Michigan, where they built their life together and resided ever since.

Pat had a deep passion for Chicago sports: he loved football, particularly the Chicago Bears, which brought him immense joy and sometimes not so much. He attended every youth and Forest Park football game that his sons and nephews played in. He loved being a grandfather and treasured peaceful moments spent fishing. With a remarkable talent for storytelling, Pat’s infectious humor and unique ability to connect with people made him a joy to be around.

His love and affection touched all his family and friends, leaving an indelible mark on their lives. Pat will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his sons Nicholas (Lily) and Chris (Hannah); his brothers Michael and TJ (Michelle); sister Lori (Rob); grandchildren Millie, Riley, and Destiny and many other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and extended family who will forever carry his memory.

He is preceded in death by his wife Marylee; parents Jerry and Mary; his brother David; his daughter Candice and his son Patrick.
