Raymond George Demers passed away on May 1st, surrounded by family. He was born in Methuen, Massachusetts, on February 18th, 1972.
In high school, Ray was active on the football and wrestling teams. Known for his humor and warmth, Ray was a fun-loving, outgoing person who brought energy into every room. He gave most people he met a nickname and could make anyone smile.
He was incredibly intelligent, loved trivia and facts, and had a passion for professional wrestling, Halloween, and supernatural TV shows. Ray enjoyed fishing, playing cards, and attending sporting events. He rarely missed a game of bingo. A true animal lover, Ray took great joy in watching wildlife at his bird feeder. He also loved old-school rap and hip-hop.
We would like to thank Iron Mike for being such a good friend to Hammer. We would also like to send a special thanks to the staff at ThedaCare–Peabody Manor for the love and care they showed Ray over the past few years. We would like to send another thank you to the staff at St. Elizabeth Hospital, specifically the ICU staff, RN Cassie, and Dr. Nick.
Ray is survived by his mom, Micky; sister, Toni; brother, Konrad, and his wife, Jessica; his nieces and nephews, Khloe, Kade, Konrad, Kody, and Cris; his great-nephew, Karter; and his uncles, Luc, Gratien, Jean Yves; and aunt, Francine.
