Richard (Rick) James Senecal, born to Louise (Swiechowski) and William Senecal on July 9, 1954, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loved ones on October 14, 2023.
A 1972 graduate of Kimberly High School, Rick married the love of his life, Kim Farrell, on August 22, 1975. Also known as Wally, Rick dedicated 42 years of his life to the paper industry.
Rick was an avid outdoorsman, with a passion for fishing, camping, and woodworking. He liked riding through Sunset Park and High Cliff State Park, looking for wildlife and checking the latest fishing reports. He cherished the company of his dogs, Gracie and Penny, and could impress anyone with his vast memories and knowledge, especially of music. His comedic talent for altering song lyrics always left those around him shaking their heads with laughter. Cooking was another of Rick's passions, and he was known for his delicious soups, turkey dinners, and fish frys.
Above all else, his greatest love was his family. He treasured the time spent with his loved ones.
Rick is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Kim, their children Jessica (Donald) Bolton, Nick (Andrea) Senecal, and Sarah Lemire, as well as grandchildren Ryan Joe and Morgan Senecal and bonus grandchildren Ozzy and Bella. Rick leaves behind his siblings Donna (Jerry) Jansen, Diane Kosmosky, Dar Dutcher (Darla), and Ron (Nicole) Senecal. He is also survived by his mother-in-law Marlene (Lyle) Long and Kim's siblings Tom (Colleen) Farrell, Sue (Jeff) Tesch, Joe Farrell, and Jim (Donna) Farrell, along with Aunt Barbara Powers, Uncle Carl Sengstock, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and many other relatives and friends.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to Rick's care team, with special thanks to the staff at Fresenius Dialysis Center in Kaukauna for their dedicated care.
A celebration of Rick's life will be planned for a later date. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
