Ricky L. Deeg

Aug 27, 1961 — Aug 22, 2026

Appleton

Ricky “Rick” Lee Deeg, 64, passed away peacefully on August 22, 2026, just five days before his 65th birthday. Rick was born on August 27, 1961, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton, Wisconsin, to Charles and Marjorie (Knoll) Deeg.

Rick was a man of many talents and truly a jack of all trades. Throughout his life, he worked a variety of jobs and was never afraid to learn something new or work with his hands. He owned and operated an auto detailing shop, earned his HSED while serving in the United States Army, and later worked in construction. Rick was always willing to lend a hand and was someone his family and friends could count on whenever help was needed.

Rick loved his family deeply and cherished the time he spent with them. Family gatherings were especially important to him, and he enjoyed visiting with his grandchildren and watching them grow. He was a proud grandfather to Jonah, Sophee, Aubree, Cameryn, and Mason.

On August 9, 1997, Rick married Debbie Deeg (Hueller) at Bethany Lutheran Church in Kaukauna, Wisconsin. Recently celebrated their 29th anniversary, sharing many years of memories, family, and life.

Rick had plenty of passions and interests. He was, without a doubt, one of the biggest Green Bay Packers fan you would ever meet. He also enjoyed watching the Wisconsin Badgers and WWE wrestling. When he wasn't cheering on his favorite teams or watching wrestling, Rick could often be found enjoying the outdoors. He was an avid deer hunter and fisherman and loved spending time doing the things he enjoyed with family and friends.

Those who knew Rick knew he had high expectations and preferred to have things done quickly. That was simply part of who he was. Beneath that straightforward nature was a man with a huge heart who loved his family more than anything. Rick was always there when someone needed him, especially when it came to the people he loved.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Marjorie (Knoll) Deeg; and his children, Brewster Deeg and Chuckie Deeg.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie Deeg; his children, James Deeg (Crysta), Alex Hueller (Travis), and Brandon Hueller; his siblings, Gary Deeg (Ray), Susan Deeg, Sally DiSanto (Chris), Mary Roberts (Bill), and Charles Deeg; and his nieces and nephews, Brian Deeg, Amanda Lee (Allen), Richard Steffens, Jordon Hueller (Kimberly), Jake Hueller (Hollan), Alexi Crum, and all their children.

Rick's greatest joy was his family, and he leaves behind countless memories that will be treasured by those who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed by his wife, children, grandchildren, siblings, extended family, and friends.

Rick's family will remember him for his helping hand, his love of the Packers, his enjoyment of the outdoors, his strong personality, and most of all, the love he had for his family. Though he is no longer here, the memories he created and the love he gave will remain with his family forever. It's not goodbye, it's always see you later.

During this extremely difficult time we would like to thank all the doctors and nurses at St. Elizabeth Hospital for their wonderful hospitality, especially the nurses he had the last two days, you impacted us more than you know and we are forever grateful for how you advocated for Rick and cared for him.

In honor of Rick and his most favorite collection, we are asking that everyone wear Packer apparel or Packer colors for the day.

Funeral will be held on Saturday, September 12th, visitation beginning at Noon, with service at 1 and luncheon to follow. Faith Lutheran Church, 601 E Glendale Avenue, Appleton, Wisconsin.
