Robert Bob Komp

Robert Bob Komp, age 64, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at Meadowbrook Nursing Home in Appleton, Wisconsin. 

Bob was born on June 5, 1962, in the City of New London and grew up in Stephensville, Wisconsin, to the late Ruth and Harold Komp. At the time of his passing, Bob shared 22 loving years with his longtime companion, Janet VanPatten. Bob lived a simple and quiet life and found joy in the things he loved most. He spent much of his free time on his computer and valued the comfort of a familiar routine. Throughout his working years, he was employed by Cenveo, William House/National Envelope, and he retired from TIDI Products in March 2026. Bob had a gift for making friends wherever he went, and his easygoing nature left a lasting impression on many. He will be remembered fondly and missed by all who knew him. 

Bob is survived by his two daughters, Kristina Brighum of Pulaski and Kaitlin (Jake) Roelse of Exeland; his four grandchildren, Kylie Brighum, Jacob Brighum, Carolin Roelse, and Waylon Roelse; his longtime companion, Janet VanPatten of Appleton; and Janets grandson, Landyn VanPatten, whom they helped raise together. His siblings also survive him: Nancy (John) Biese of Stephensville, Ann (Steve) Calnin of Stephensville, Bill (Diane) Komp of Stephensville, and a brother-in-law, Jim Himmelspach of Crystal Lake. Bob was also survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. 

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and Harold Komp; his sister, Susan Himmelspach of Crystal Lake, Illinois; and his infant brother, Richard Komp. 

A Celebration of Life will be held in September 2026. Bobs ashes will be laid to rest at St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery alongside his parents and brother. 

Bob will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him.
