Bob passed away peacefully on June 14, 2026, with his loving wife, Marian, by his side. He was born on February 23, 1932, at home in Black Creek, to Ervin and Laura (Meier) Rohloff. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s United Church of Christ. He was a proud graduate of Seymour High School, Class of 1950, where he excelled in football, basketball, and baseball. Bob and Marian celebrated 75 years of marriage, on October 14, 2025

Bob learned the barbering trade from his dad while still in high school, and continued cutting hair until his health declined at age 93. His shops were in Black Creek, Sun City, AZ; Appleton, and finally Hortonville. He was proud to be featured on WBAY’s Small Towns when he opened Bob’s Old Fashioned Barber Shop at age 90. He loved telling stories and he loved his customers. They partnered with Milo and Caroline Rettler in 1960 to build R & R Lanes in Black Creek. Bowling was just one of the sports he loved, baseball being his favorite, as a left-handed first baseman for Black Creek in the Dairyland League.

His work with Presto Products took him to Appleton, Weyauwega; Lewiston, UT; and South Boston, VA. He retired to Goodyear, AZ, in 1996, returning to Appleton in 2014.

He is survived by his wife, Marian; his brother, Mark. His daughter, Gail (Dan) Plamann. Their children Alissa (Mark) Roe; Nicholas Plamann and Cole Plamann. His daughter, Sandra (Randy) Heiden. Their children Erik (Angela) Heiden and Kyle (Erin) Heiden. His great-grandchildren; Elliott and Auden Roe; Jameson Roberts and Miles Plamann; Mercedes and Jackson Heiden; Trace and Sloane Heiden. In-laws: Shirley Doersch, Darlene (Rich) Loga, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Julie Ann; his brother, Steve; his wife’s parents, Emil and Dorothy Barth; In-laws, Eugene (Betty) Barth, Norman (Bea) Lemke, Don Doersch, and Jean Rohloff.

Bob was a member of First United Methodist Church, Appleton. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Internment will be at Appleton Highland Memorial Cemetery.
