Roger Gore

September 27, 1949 — December 4, 2022

Black Creek

Roger (Rocky) Gore, age 73, Black Creek, passed away on Sunday, December 4 with his wife at his side. He was born September 27, 1949 to Germaine (Preuss) and Donald Gore.  On September 11, 1971, he married Bonnie Peter.

Roger loved his job as a truckdriver. He drove truck for over 50 years, giving it up only when cancer forced him too.

He loved his family very much even when they didn't agree with him, which was often.  He was very proud of his sons and their families.

Roger is survived by his wife Bonnie, sons Josh and Matt (April) Gore, grandchildren: Brandon Barth, Aurora Gore, Gabby and Dom Herning, brother Dean (Pat) Gore, granddogs: Dozer, Stella, and Griffin, Bonnie's family, Waldo (Rebecca) Peter, Mary (Larry) Maciejewski, Rita (Merle) Olson, Joyce (Bill Zarek) Peter, Mark (Carol) Peter, and James (Fran) Peter.

He is also survived by many nieces and nephews: Karen (Doyle) Smith, Kerry (Nicki) Gore, Jeri (Jeff) Ohman, Jackie (Brian) Braemer, Andrew and Jason (Emily) Maciejewski, Mike (Sarah) and Kyle (Janessa) Olson, Ben, Jerry (Adi), Steve, Joanna, Chris (Kelsey) Peter,  Sue (Nathan) Lewis, Beth (Andrew) Moomaw, Hans, Kate and Maxine Peter and many great nieces and nephews. His God children: Robyn Gersmehl and Chad Root.

A special thanks to his good friends, Don (Marcie) Rucci and Marv (Diana) Hoagland for all the rides, lunches, phone calls and conversations.  Roger really appreciated you guys.

Roger was preceeded in death by his parents, sister and brother-in-law Nancy and Leroy Evers,
his in-laws Ernest and Shirley Peter, and his niece and nephews Todd, Theresa, and Tadd Evers.

We'd also like to thank Roger's Theda Care Cancer team: Dr. Yao, Molly Schumacher, infusion nurses (always had a warm blanket and pudding for him) and the ladies at the reception desk for always remembering his name which made him feel special and the girls in scheduling.

A gathering will take place on Saturday, December 17, from 12-3 at Wild River Pizza Pub (formerly Ken's Riverside), N5645 Mill St, Shiocton.

We love you and will miss you, Bonnie, Josh & Matt and families
