Roger E. Konitzer "KOJAK"

Roger E. Konitzer, age 67, of Kaukauna, passed away on Thursday, June 12th, at his home surrounded by his children and close family. He was born on July 9, 1957, to Marcel and Marie (Vorron) Konitzer Sr.

On October 14, 1988, he was united in marriage to Dawn Konitzer. Together they had four children. Roger had a special love for motorcycles, especially Harley-Davidsons. He also had a special place in his heart for dogs. He had a one-of-a-kind sense of humor and was always laughing and cracking jokes.

Roger will be lovingly remembered as a kind, caring, and loving son, husband, father, grandpa, brother, and uncle.

He is survived by his wife, Dawn Konitzer; their four children: Shannon (Amy) Konitzer, Casey Hungerford, Jason (special friend Fallon) Konitzer, and Adam (special friend Jamie) Konitzer; three grandchildren: Shanel and Jack Konitzer, and Callie Hungerford; two siblings: Bill (Janey) Konitzer and Lana Geurts; and sisters-in-law: Deb Konitzer and Ginny Konitzer. He is further survived by Dawn’s siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by his in-laws, Barney VandenBloomer and MaryBeth Belanger; four brothers: Joe (Diane), Tim, Marcel Jr., and Allen Konitzer; and brothers-in-law: Aaron Geurts and Daniel “Joe” VandenBloomer.

A special thank-you to Roger’s siblings who were there for him and helped tremendously throughout this journey.

A celebration of life will be held at Sturber’s Bar and Grill in Kaukauna on July 12th at 3:00 p.m.
