Ruth “Pinky” Katherine Gibbs
Ruth, who loved to be called “Ma” by her kids, and “Nana” by her grandkids departed her loving family on Monday, October 10, 2021.
Ruth was born in Boston, MA in April,1925 to John and Carrie Cumming. She was the oldest of children. John (Jean) Cumming, Donald (Jackie) Cumming, Kenneth (Nancy) Cumming.
Ruth was mother to Leslie Varner (Al), Ken Gibbs, Marc Gibbs (Carol), Kim Griffin (Austin), Robin Teasley (Tom), Jill Baker (Michael). She raised her children with love and devotion in Northern Maine with her husband, Warren Gibbs who preceded her in death in 1983.
She loved to maintain a household, cook and bake. She enjoyed many years of fun and happy memories with her life-long friends Allene, Barbara, Bunny & Alice.
She is survived by 14 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be no public visitation.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Gifted Wishes@unityhospice.org can be made in Ruth’s name.
