Scott Linke left this world on August 22, 2025 to be with his Lord and Savior. Scott had the support of his family and church family (Plymouth Church) during his 16 month battle with pancreatic cancer.
He was born February 12, 1962, in West Virginia, but he lived and cultivated beauty in many states, including Florida, Michigan, Wisconsin and North Carolina. He graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in Ornamental Horticulture . He was united in marriage to Elaine (Lundquist) in 1985, and the couple welcomed three children: Michael, Anna, and Grace. Scott retired from Johnson Nursery in Willard, North Carolina, in December of 2022. He and Elaine moved back to Wisconsin to be close to family. Once they were back settled in Wisconsin, Scott enjoyed a brief retirement career with ACC Management, where he made friends with coworkers and residents.
Scott was known by all for his love of gardening and cooking. Though he was not trained in culinary arts, he was a gourmet in the kitchen and prepared many delicious meals for friends and family. At each house he lived in, he transformed the yard into a beautiful landscape with both flowers and vegetables. At home, he always had his dog by his side. He loved his rat terrier Bella and his basset hound Audrey. Those who knew him admired his servant's heart and great compassion for people. He reached out as the hands and feet of Christ on foreign and domestic mission trips and served his church family in many ways, including building ramps for those in need in North Carolina.
Scott is survived by his wife Elaine and his three children Michael (Rachel) and grandsons Witt, Addison and Fletcher. Anna (Erik) and stepson Caleb. Grace (Alex) and granddaughters Evie and Millie. And his mother, Betty, and brother Craig (Mary Kay), as well as many nieces and nephews and aunt, uncles and cousins.
A heartfelt thank you to all the staff within the Theda Care system for their care and compassion to Scott during his battle with pancreatic cancer for the last year and a half.
The funeral service will be held at Plymouth Church, 1325 Georgia St., Oshkosh, WI 54902 on Monday, August 25 at 11:00 am.
