Sharron R Steen

December 19, 1943 — November 23, 2023

Neenah

Sharron Rae Steen, age 79, passed away peacefully at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah, WI on November 23, 2023. Sharron was born on December 19, 1943 in Wisconsin Rapids, WI to the late Milton and Dorothy Steen.

A beloved mother, grandmother, family member and friend, Sharron retired many years ago from Atlas Tag and Label in Neenah. After retirement she lived out her life enjoying the beauty of nature while owning a lake lot for several years, traveling, and gardening. Sharron loved animals and rescued several birds and dogs, with her last three dogs playing a very important role in her life (King, Brody and Charlie). Sharron was a kind and caring woman who enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was always willing to help out in any way she could. You would often find her in the bus pickup line, school choir concerts and candy aisle spoiling them rotten.

Sharron is survived by her brother Jim Steen, sister Janet Rockwood, her children: Tami (Jeff) Mathes, Brian (Marie) Pataska, Scott Pataska and Mark (Claudia) Pataska; grandchildren Amanda (Mike) Miller, Vincent (Kassye) Miller, Joshua (Nicole) Miller, Landan Pataska-Sturgis, Tristan Pataska and Kaleb Hiroshima; great-grandchildren: Kiara Brux, Leo Schultz, Hendrix Draper, Tidus Draper, Joshua Miller Jr., Colton Mathes, Ethan Mathes, Analla Miller and Dylan Krause. She is further survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Milton and Dorthy Steen, brother in law Jack Rockwood, sister in law Ginny Steen and fiance James Rasmussen.

Sharron leaves a gap in our existence that only the loss of a sweet soul can. For Sharron, she is reunited with James, the love of her life. Per Sharron’s request no service will be provided. The family asks that you plant a flower in memory of her, for that was her passion she grew to love and would serve as a great way to remember her.
