Sheryl Helms

Sheryl Ann "Sherry" Helms, a beloved partner, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister, passed away peacefully on April 12th, 2024, at Peabody Manor in Appleton, WI, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on January 25th, 1964, to her dear mother, Harriet.

Sherry's courageous battle with cancer came to a peaceful end, but her spirit and love will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her. She was a ray of light, known for her infectious smile and her ability to find joy in the simplest of things.

Throughout her 60 years of life, Sherry left a lasting impact on many with her kindness and warmth. Sherry spent 15 wonderful years with her partner Laura, together, building a life filled with love and cherished memories. Sherry's passion for gardening, feeding the birds, being outdoors, and traveling reflected her deep appreciation for the beauty of the world around her. She had a special ability to bring smiles to the faces of all those around her.

Sherry was preceded in death by her brothers Gerald and Walter. She is survived by her loving partner Laura; her three sons Aaron (Gina), Nick (Jessica), and Codey (Kiley); brothers Jeff and Scott; mother Harriet; as well as her grandchildren and great-grandchild.

A private funeral service will be held to honor Sherry's memory. Her family will gather to celebrate her life and the impact she had on all those around her. During this time of sorrow, we find comfort in the special memories we shared with Sherry. Moreover, we are at peace knowing that she is finally at peace.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to ThedaCare Cancer Center and Peabody Manor. The staff provided compassionate care, extending their kindness and support during Sherry's time spent there.

Sherry will be remembered for her love, laughter, and cherished moments shared with family and friends. May she rest in peace, knowing she was deeply loved and will be missed.
