Shirley Temme

Shirley Ida Temme, 91, died Friday, September 28th, 2018 at the Waterford in Plymouth.

Shirley was born November 30th, 1926, in Berwyn, Illinois to Elmer and Helen (Kuzdas) Wilke.

She met Thomas Woods Temme, Jr. in 1940 at the age of 14. On October 26, 1946 Shirley and Tom were united in marriage in Chicago. After several years, they relocated to Poynette, Menasha, Sheboygan Falls and eventually moved to Sheboygan, WI.

Shirley worked for many years as a bookkeeper at WHBL Radio. Shirley's hobbies included crochet and reading. In her retirement, she cherished daily lunches with friends at the St. Nicholas Hospital cafeteria and fondly remembered several cruises taken with Tom.

Shirley is survived by her daughter, Carol (Robin) Shier, four grandchildren, Thomas W. Temme, IV, Samantha Theis, Emily (Shier) Polak and Malcolm Shier; and three great grandchildren, Dually, Colton, and Braxtyn Theis. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Kathleen Ulrich (2010); husband Tom Jr. (2012); and son Tom III (2014), and two great grandsons.

A memorial service will be held in Coquitlam, British Columbia. If you would like to honour Shirley’s memory, please consider making a donation to the Alzheimer's Association in her name.
