Thomas (Turkey Tom, Turtle) C. Wolslegel passed away on December 23, 2022 at the age of 79 after a long illness.  Tom was born February 19, 1943 in Appleton, WI to Clifford and Gladys (Missling) Wolslegel.  He was united in marriage to Christina Brown on May 18, 1968.  In his younger years, Tom and his friends spent time hunting, fishing, and playing in and around what is now Plamann Park.  He graduated in 1961 from Fox Valley Lutheran High School and attended culinary school in Milwaukee.  He worked as a Chef at the Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee and at Froelich’s Resort in Sayner, Wisconsin.  After a few years, Tom decided to follow in his Father’s footsteps as a carpenter at Theo. Utschig Construction.  He later became a millwright and was especially proud of the work he did with Lunda Construction installing and maintaining paper machines throughout the country. He had a nickname for everyone that he worked with and had many stories about the customers and co-workers he was with every day. Tom looked forward to going up north spending time at his “shack” in Mountain where he loved to hunt and fish.  Tom is survived by his wife Christina, children Christian (Milissa), Nathan (Jan), and Daniel (Sarah); grandchildren Alyssa, Braden, Alexis, Jaron, Bree, Carsen; and great grandchild Ellianna.  He is further survived by his brother Jack (Jeanne) and nephew Jeff as well as other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, a nephew Jack Jr. and a daughter-in-law Sharon. The family would like to thank the caregivers at Rennes, Good Shepherd, and the Hospice team that helped him over the last few weeks.  Per Tom’s wishes there will be no funeral service.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
