William Rex Rains, born on May 7, 1959, passed away on August 24, 2024. He was preceded in death by his father, Zaney Rex Rains, his mother, Joyce Ann Maier, and his sister, Rita Faye Rains. He is survived by his loving sisters, Zandal K. Lopeman and Lesa Wiedenkeller, as well as his nieces Andrea, Jana, Rosie, Tasi, Amy, and Angie, his nephew Bryant, and numerous great-nieces and nephews.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of William Rex Rains, a man whose life was marked by laughter, love, and boundless curiosity. William’s humor was infectious, and he was a masterful jokester, always ready with a quip or a clever remark that could brighten the darkest day. His intelligence was as sharp as his wit, and his knowledge of computers was unmatched—he was the go-to person for anyone who needed help, and he always gave it with patience and a smile.
William's love for people was evident in everything he did. He cared deeply for everyone around him, always showing kindness and a genuine interest in their well-being. His heart was big, and it was felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Music was one of William's greatest passions. Whether he was listening to his favorite songs or singing along, music was a constant companion in his life. He found peace and joy in nature, especially at the lake in the park, where he spent countless hours enjoying the serenity of the water. William also had a keen eye for photography, capturing the beauty of the world through his lens, one moment at a time.
William Rex Rains' legacy is one of love, laughter, and a life lived fully. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him, but his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to call him a friend. The family would like to thank all of William's caregivers over the years, for the care and compassion they provided him.
