William E. Wrobleski

June 13, 1951 — July 24, 2025

Appleton

William E. Wrobleski, 74, took his final flight to the heavens July 24, 2025, after a short and sudden illness. He was surrounded by his immediate family who watched over him on his final take off and ascent. William was born in Stevens Point, Wisconsin on June 13, 1951, son of the late Erwin and Edna (Helminsk) Wrobleski. He married Michelle Lakso on May 28, 1983. A successful airline captain, William flew for both Midstate Airlines and Air Wisconsin during his tenure. Those who knew him, know he'll be remembered for his kind eyes, jovial smile, and his ability to weave a tale. His pride and joy were his kids and his passion was his cabin. His favorite weeks of the year were EAA in July and deer hunting season in November, which he would never miss through hell or high water. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Michelle; son, Robert (Jordan Ashwood) and daughter, Danielle; granddaughter, Mila; numerous nieces and nephews; and his three kitties, Charlie, Dylan, and Rosie. Per his request, there will be no memorial service. His passing leaves an irreplaceable hole in our family. There are no words to fully convey the depths of our sadness. Goodnight, Captain Wrobleski, you are finally at peace.
